Today we passed out the curriculum guide for unit 2: La diversidad cultural y étnica en el mundo hispanohablante: la perspectiva histórica.
We also passed out a handout about how to use the progressive tense. We wrote 5 sentences using compound verbs to form the progressive tense.
We discussed what languages have contributed to the Spanish language of today.
We watched a video about jamón serrano. See it below. Note how the ham is cut and served and where it is from.
Flipped: Tarea-
find the 8 "Valores catalanes" and write them down. Do you agree/ disagree with them? Which ones are similar to your own values? Which ones do you not agree with or are not part of your value system? Bring the 8 values you found in the article to class and be preapred to discuss if these are value you agree with or not.

Today we went over the food assignment (found below on the 4th) and wrote a journal entry about a gift you would like to receive or give.
Then, we transitioned to small groups, no more than 6, and discussed the foods from the readign and wrote the answers to activity on as groups(see yesterday's documents).
As groups, we wrote down the answers to the questions and turned them in.
We discussed how this activity is easy when you have read, to help demonstrate how a flipped classroom works.
Some students do NOT like have to go to a website every night to find out what the homework is. Should handouts be available?
Those who did not read were assigned the job of scribe to write for the group, since they may not have anything else to contribute, but will still learn from the discussion.

-After reading the story in class, we answered several questions in the handout verbally for pesos in Part A, 1-8.
Then we read through part B, and assigned it as homework, as a 5 sentence parragraph, due after the November Break.
